    Simpli.com (http://www.simpli.com) has developed a technology to enhance Internet search and targeted content based on ideas derived from cognitive science and linguistics. The founders of the company are largely drawn from the Brown University Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences and the Department of Computer Science. We are seeking a computational linguist, or computer scientist/software engineer with a strong background in linguistics.

    Education: * Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Linguistics with a focus on Natural Language Processing

    Requirements: * Minimum two years of experience in developing applications for corpus-based natural language processing, information retrieval, or other related products * Working knowledge of Perl, C/C++, or Java * In-depth knowledge of areas such as text analysis and processing, data-mining, information extraction (e.g., automatic indexing of large text corpora), knowledge-based techniques (e.g., the use of ontologies and lexicons), or neural networks for unsupervised learning

    Preferred: * Familiarity with Internet Search * Management and/or leadership experience * Knowledge of and experience with existing NLP tools * Significant work experience
