Meeting Description:
After 4 successful meetings, the Centro de
Estudos de Linguística Geral e Aplicada (CELGA
- University of Coimbra, Portugal) is happy to
announce the 5thEPGL (12 - 13 dec. 2014).
This Meeting intends to provide an opportunity
for young researchers (Master and PhD) from all
over the world to present the results of their
work. Its goal is to promote the dialogue
between different disciplines and theoretical
frameworks. An invited specialist will present
an opening conference.
The meeting will take place at Coimbra, at the
oldest University of Portugal and one of the
most ancient of Europe. Located at the center
of the country, the participants may easily
arrive by train, coming from the airport of
Lisbon or Oporto.
2nd Call for Papers:
Extended call deadline: 20 July 2014
Submissions are encouraged in a variety of
subfields of linguistics.
Authors must send an abstract not exceeding 400
words to: celga.epgfl.uc.pt.
Abstracts should be followed by the relevant
bibliography and must clearly state:
- Title
- Key words: include 3-5 key words
- Background and objectives
- Methods
- Results and Conclusions
Format:
- Times New Roman, 12pt
- Vertical spacing of 1,5 between lines
- Margins (left, right, top and bottom) of 2.5
cm
- Word (doc)
Authors should send 2 copies of their abstract:
one of them anonymous and the other with the
following information:
- Author's name
- Post-graduation level
- Affiliation
- Email address
Each presenter is allowed 20 minutes to present
the paper followed by 10 minutes for
discussion.
Abstracts can be written and presentations can
be given in any of the following languages:
Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.
Requirements:
- Only the abstracts of master and PhD projects
(research in progress or completed) will be
accepted.
- The paper must be original.
- In case of co-authoring with supervisors, the
presentation will be conducted by the
post-graduate.
Important Dates:
20 July 2014: Deadline for abstract
submission
30 September 2014: Announcement of the
results
Note: Completion of the registration form is
compulsory.
